What Peri Parents are Saying

“The Peri Prenatal Course is fantastic! A ton of resources to help you navigate your pregnancy and growing family with information and community. ”

- Claire

“The prenatal course with Peri helped me and my husband learn more and be more prepared for giving birth and receiving our baby girl. We are so glad we got to know so many providers, and even have started working with some of them! Also, the aspect of community it had made us feel like we were not alone in this. ”

- Claudia

“As a first time parent, I’m really happy I took this course! It helped my husband and I become intentional about preparing for birth and postpartum.”

- Selena

“My husband and I really enjoyed our weekly Peri meetings. It was a great way to meet expecting parents and have a community to turn to with questions. The group introduced us to a wide variety of topics and gave us lots of resources and connections to have in our back pocket to help us feel more prepared as we enter parenthood! Niki, Annalise, and Kiki were wonderful—supportive and welcoming... Just what we needed.”

Becoming a parent is a whole-person transformation.

Our expert-led series goes beyond birth basics to address the essential, often-overlooked needs of expecting parents.

Learn from local perinatal specialists, including:

  • birth doula and childbirth educator

  • perinatal nutrition expert

  • pelvic floor physical therapist

  • lactation consultant

  • parent mental health specialists

  • couples therapist

  • pediatric sleep consultant

  • postpartum doula

Our Approach

  • We cap our groups at 12 couples. You’ll go through the experience with the same people each week, and you’ll be part of a private group chat for your cohort.

  • The course is 8 weeks. Each session is 1.5 hours.

Instead of trying to learn everything in a day or stay engaged in a virtual class, you’ll have plenty of time to absorb, reflect on, and integrate what you’re learning.

  • Each session is led by a trusted local expert and designed to be interactive and practical.

You’ll learn pain management techniques from our pelvic floor pt, how to swaddle your baby from our sleep consultant, and you’ll make postpartum energy balls with our nutrition expert—and SO much more.

  • You’re not just preparing for a baby—you’re building a support system with people in the same stage of life.

  • Rather than piecing together information from multiple sources, this course prepares you for the full physical, emotional, and relational transition into parenthood in one integrated format.

  • The course is designed with both parents in mind. Both partners are encouraged to attend all eight sessions, but you’re always welcome to attend individually.

  • Every session is recorded, and you'll have access to a shared resource hub with materials from each week. You can also reach out directly to that week's expert — they welcome follow-up questions from enrolled families.

The Experience

Our course is an in-person, small-group experience that blends expert insight, reflective discussion, and social connection.

Expect evidence-based guidance from perinatal specialists and warm, judgment-free discussions with other expecting parents.

A typical evening includes:

  • casual time to chat with the other parents-to-be

  • workshop/lesson/discussion with an expert

  • open Q&A

  • many people stick around to chat with each other after class and ask 1-on-1 questions of our experts

Outside of class:

  • Your cohort's WhatsApp group is yours to keep — parents stay in touch as their babies are born, swap daycare tips and product recs, and plan their own meetups.

  • Beyond your cohort, you're joining the broader Peri community! We host monthly coffee walks, a quarterly parenting book club, play dates, and other special events for new & expecting parents.

About our Experts

Each cohort is led by a curated group of trusted Atlanta-area experts including a:

  • birth doula

  • postpartum doula

  • perinatal mental health counselor

  • couple's therapist

  • pelvic floor PT

  • pediatric sleep consultant

  • lactation consultant

  • perinatal nutrition expert

You'll receive your cohort's full expert lineup one week before your course begins. You have a standing invitation to reach out with questions after the course ends. Our experts love to hear from you!

FAQs

  • Peri welcomes all parents, including LGBTQ+ parents, adoptive parents, solo parents, and more!

If you’re a parent-to-be by any definition and you’re looking for good info & good people, you’re welcome here!

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

  • So different! We don’t replace a birth education course (like HypnoBirthing, Birthing From Within, Evidence Based Birth, etc.). Our course supports feeding, recovery, mental health, relationships, and everything that’s left out of most traditional hospital classes. You’ll go into parenthood with experts you can call on and a community you can lean on.

  • All stages of pregnancy are welcome, but in order to get the full experience, register for a course that ends before your due date.

  • Absolutely! Our course is designed with both parents in mind, and we encourage you both to attend as many sessions as possible. You’re in this together!

If your partner’s schedule doesn’t allow them to come every week, we suggest prioritizing the session on birth planning, relationships & partner dynamics, identity, and pelvic floor health!

  • We really wish we could offer childcare for older siblings. Unfortunately, we’re not there yet.

The prenatal course is adults only.

  • We’d love, love, love for you to make it to group consistently—in our experience, that’s the best way to build group connection. But, as we too are human, we get that life happens.

There is no make-up session, but we share session notes and resources so you won’t miss any info.

  • About a week before the course starts, we’ll send the final schedule, the speaker bios, logistical info, and the link to your group chat.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out!

  • Great! The support and information we offer are valuable even with prior experience. Plus, your knowledge is a huge benefit to the rest of the group.

  • We cap group membership at 12 couples. We find that more intimate groups help foster meaningful connection.

  • You bet we are!

We’re just getting started, and your input helps shape what Peri becomes. If you have a dream for a different kind of group or see a need that’s not being met, email us anytimehello@with-peri.com

    2. Your Peri facilitators are trained in group dynamics and community-building. The course is designed to take you from strangers to friends.

    3. We cap the group at 10 members, to keep things casual and close-knit.

    4. We’re in this together. Promise.
